God first loved us. Love is His idea. He is the source of love and shows us how to love. He fully accepts us even when we are not doing things pleasant in his sight and he forgives us; this is what love is. We can love, because we have been loved. "We love, because he first loved us." It is not, "We love him." It says, "We love -- anyone -- because he first loved us."
