Main Take-Aways from Luke 4:38-39, "Healing"
Good evening MPCC! Our Bible Study tonight examined the healing of Simon's mother in-law (Luke 4:38-39) and provided insights into how God heals each of us. Our take-aways for tonight:
1)Healing begins when our faith is in engaged. When we begin to lay claim to God’s promises; and find ourselves in the text of God’s word, healing can begin.
2)Healing must always be viewed in both spiritual and physical contexts. Healing is not just about good medical care, but divine intervention. Doctors practice medicine, God does the healing.
3)There are times when the solutions to our problems may require rebuke or strong admonition. No one enjoys being on the receiving end of a rebuke, yet if sin has caused the problem, it must be rebuked before change can happen.
