Tonight we studied Mark 1:21-28.  Here are the key points:

1. The text teaches us that God and God’s Word is the ultimate authority.  While most of us are drawn to the displays of God’s power, exercising our God-given authority should be our goal.
2. Jesus commands the unclean spirit to “shut-up.” We shouldn’t be afraid to speak to circumstances in our lives using the authority of God’s Word.
3. Exercising spiritual power may create followers, but exercising spiritual authority creates disciples.
